Points updated after contest #1 Locals Surf Shop

Can’t thank every enough for yesterday; competitors, staff & volunteers…. It takes a village to run these events and we can’t do it without each and every one of you!

The waves were heavy, long period surf under wind chop, I personally was gassed after one heat.
Can’t imagine how the kids feel this AM!

Shout out to the heaviest hitters, Sofia Gamboa U12/U14, Ian Honda (who took my Trophy LoL). Vance giant-head Weyandt U14 U16 & U18! Heads up Aiden Craig he’s coming for you… Ben Smith killed it in Men’s, next time we’ll have many many more.
It is welcoming to see men’s division full. Women’s division is back too, let’s rally everyone you know for the next contest; Aubrey Rasmussen U16, Kaylin Weinrich, Sydney Corbitt, Tori Mills Kate Brunne – this team has a lot of momentum #Regionals2020.
Campbell Hogan making a comeback this year, along with Big Wave Dave showing these youngsters how to drop a wallet with style. Ray Morris, who didn’t think he could surf, wins his first Masters contest. Phil Harris won the very first Open Longboard, over never take no for an answer Jason Weinrich & the always impressive Scott Strigil. Chris Seay had a good showing coming in 2nd to Phill in Legends, this division is going to be great this year, next year I’m coming for you. It was a blast from the past surfing a heat with Jupiter’s finest & past ESA All-Star William Bartleman & Juno Electric Shane Suefart, William Kimball aged out thank goodness .

The most impressive showing, in my opinion, was Darlan Lopes, with a huge backside blow tail followed by the gratuitous Brazilian claim, Alex Cassal and Big Wave were right there with their own huge turns!

All-and-All a great day ~ Glad we’re back at it… Updates coming soon with the next event.
Time to do the points…
Bryan & Jim

Thanks again Locals Surf Shop for really put it together with some awesome trophies (everyone knows I love Trophies) and awesome food from Jupiter Surf Taco.
