Contest #1 for the 08/09 season was completed at Jupiter on Oct. 25^th, with over 100 entries.  The results are now posted on the website. Thanks to Scott and Marianne McEachern for compiling the standings and mastering the website.  Congratulations to all the winners, including Menehune champion Michael Friedank, and Alan Boyd who won both the Masters and the Open Shortboard.   Contest #1 was one of our best contests ever, thanks to Directors Jen Surgener and Jim Miller, supervising a large staff of dedicated volunteers, who were all indispensible!  Thank You!  And…….. the waves were great!

Our next event is the weekend of November 15^th and 16^th, the annual Jupiter Fall Classic Pro-Am, with surf shop sponsors Ocean Magic, Locals, Island Water Sports and Ground Swell, at Carlin Park in Jupiter.  The free kickoff party with a huge raffle and surf movies for everyone is 7 PM Friday, November 14^th at Corners Restaurant in Jupiter.  Entry deadline for the Pro-Am (no ESA points) is 5 PM Wednesday, November 1^st.  Entry deadline for ESA (ESA points for Boys, Girls and Menehune only) is 5 PM Wednesday, November 12^th. 

All ESA members can enter the pro-am contest, but there will be ESA Palm Beach County District points only for Boys, Girls and Menehune divisions.  If you are in Boys, Girls or Menehune, this contest is FREE when you renew your membership or join ESA before the Nov. 12^th deadline. A contest entry form is still required to be completed with your membership.  If you are already an ESA member, 12 months will be added to your membership, and the contest is free.  Stay in shape, and we’ll see you on the 14^th!
